Lost your windows Vista DVD? here is an alternative

In the past few days I had a client with a broken hard drive that needed a windows vista re-install. They no longer had the Vista disk, so I used one I had handy – but then realised that HP only provides drivers for the 64bit version of windows.

So I found a good link that explains how to re-install Vista from a usb if you have lost your disk. It also includes a link to the windows software (iso)

Now, back to fixing this broken computer – when I arrived onsite windows was not booting at all, after some testing I found the hard drive was faulty and needed replacing. After re-installing Windows I will do some basic data recovery for this client.
